Infinite water - Acte 1 : Light and Shadow
For over two years, the ocean’s water has been my artistic obsession, a subject of endless fascination and contemplation. Through this journey, I have sought to capture the essence of this ever-changing element, refining my vision to reveal only the essential: the fleeting interaction between light and shadow, where the ocean unveils its deepest mysteries. Light and Shadow, the first act of a broader series on water, focuses on that delicate moment at the end of the day, when the last rays of light glide across dark waters. The ocean becomes a silent stage where light fades into shadow, and every reflection seems to hold a hidden world. It is in this tension—between light and darkness, between what is revealed and what remains unseen—that I find a deeper, symbolic resonance. This series is the result of a long, meditative process, distilling the visual to its purest form. It is the beginning of a larger project exploring water in its many facets, where each act will continue the quest for what lies beyond the visible—an exploration of water as both a tangible element and a mirror of the human soul, constantly shifting and transforming.
