Ecstatic Dance
This series came to me like a revelation, in the Algarve, Portugal, where the wind and light seem to dance with the land. One day, by chance, I found myself witnessing a seemingly ordinary scene: pigeons circling in the sky. But as I called to them, something magical happened. They began to spin around me, like dervishes in a trance, though I don’t believe in chance every moment holds meaning, a hidden invitation from the universe. I couldn’t stop calling to them, and they seemed to play with me, responding with their graceful dance. I found myself turning with them, my camera becoming part of the movement. It was as if we were connected, dancing together birds and human, earth and sky. In that moment, photography became a meditative dance, where their rhythm guided my body, and my lens sought to capture the harmony between us. It was a shared ecstatic experience, a release from the material world. In their swirling flight, I felt a deep connection, a moment of pure peace. Together, we touched something infinite, revealing the hidden beauty of the everyday. This is the magic I’ve captured an unexpected poetry that reminds us of the grace found in life's most spontaneous encounters.
